Financial year ending:
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Hiddenite Limited's Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Transparency Statement for the financial year stated above.
Hiddenite Limited is a digital services company registered in England and Wales. We design and build websites and web applications, develop AI-powered tools, and provide website security and digital strategy work for clients in the UK and abroad.
I run the business myself, which means the structure is simple and I have direct, first-hand visibility of everyone we work with commercially: there's no layer of management between us and our suppliers.
What we buy in is limited, and falls into a few categories:
Nearly all of our suppliers are established, reputable technology businesses based in the UK, USA, or EU, in sectors that carry low modern slavery risk. We don't buy physical goods, we don't run a manufacturing supply chain, and we don't operate in higher-risk geographies.
We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking anywhere in our business or supply chain, and we're committed to acting ethically and with integrity in every business relationship we hold.
Given the size of the business, this isn't enforced through a stack of written policies, it's enforced by me checking directly. Any freelancer we engage confirms their right to work, that they're taking the work voluntarily, and is paid fairly, at or above market rate.
To keep that risk low, we:
Given the nature of the business (a small digital services company with a short, technology-oriented supply chain), I assess our exposure to modern slavery risk as low. We're not operating in the sectors, geographies, or procurement activities where this risk usually shows up.
There's no formal training programme, since it's just me, but I keep up to date on modern slavery risks and obligations through my own ongoing professional development, and by following guidance published by the Home Office and the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner.
