How we got here.
We fell in love with the web before we fully understood what that meant. A challenge, a problem worth solving, a curiosity that never switched off. That was over twenty years ago. We're still switched on.
Twenty years in, and the thing that still drives us is the reason we started: a real dislike for where the internet was heading. Too much tracking. Too much noise. Too many products built for engagement instead of people. We wanted to build the opposite.
We've worked agency-side, client-side, freelance, and every configuration in between. Tiny landing pages for local shops. Complex platforms for growing startups. Every client taught us something the last one hadn't.
Then we made a choice. Not to grow bigger, but to stay close. Close to the code. Close to the design. Close to the people we build for. Hiddenite is that choice, made permanent.
Passion doesn't scale in the usual sense. So we stayed small, stayed private-first, and built a studio around doing the internet properly instead.

If your idea won't work, we'll tell you. If we're not the right people for something, we'll say so and point you in the right direction. We'd rather have an honest conversation that costs us a client than nod along and deliver something that doesn't serve you.
Quality is non-negotiable
We're genuinely fussy about the work. Not in an ego-driven way, in a craftsman way. We care about the spacing, the code quality, the loading time, the tone of the copy. The difference between good and excellent is usually found in the details most people skip.
We keep things simple
Complexity is the enemy of results. We'll always look for the simplest solution that solves the real problem. We don't over-engineer, over-design, or over-complicate, because those things serve us, not you.
Your deadline is our deadline
We have an almost pathological dislike of being late. Work we take on gets finished. We'd rather be uncomfortable having the conversation early than let a deadline slip without warning.
